An AP (access point) is a networking hardware device that allows other Wi-Fi devices to connect to a wired network. Usually, it's an individual devise via internet to connect with a router and can be intergrated with a router as well. For outdoor AP, it also has to be able to operate in any environments and weathers for example outdoor recreational areas or support a large number of wireless users and so on.
